Janet L. Hofmann, 91, of Camillus, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Rochester on Thursday, February 3, 1921, she was the daughter of Harold Floyd Lederman and Marie Agnes Herb Lederman. She lived in Camillus since 1956. Janet was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and volunteered with the Octagon House, Community General Hospital and American Red Cross. She was a member of the Camillus Senior Center. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Harold L. Hofmann on Christmas Day 1990. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jim Hagan of Syracuse and Ellen Hofmann-Haynie and Robert Haynie of Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mary Lederman of Charlottesville, Virginia; and four grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Private graveside services and burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
