Janet C. Hyde

Janet C. Hyde, 80, of Camillus, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Janet was a graduate of Valley High School. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards, gardening and cooking. She entered many food competitions at the NYS Fair and won several ribbons for her cooking. Above all, Janet loved spending time with her family.

Janet was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Geraldine; and sister-in-law, Sherry Frass.

Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Ed; sons, Michael (Mary Jo) of Solvay, Steven (Mary Sacco) of Camillus and James (Vicky) of Chula Vista, CA; brother, Charles Frass Jr. of Central Square; sister, Gerri (James) Jakubowski of Onondaga; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 27 at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Janet will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
