Jane Trant Kwasigroch, 89, of Fairmount, passed away Friday. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she graduated from St. John the Evangelist School. She retired in 1964 after 14 years with New York Telephone Co. to raise a family. In later years, she was employed at Head Start and several retail stores. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was a member of the Senior Group and the Funeral Luncheon Committee. She volunteered at Hope for Bereaved and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, William, in 2009; parents, Norma Trant Nunan and Michael Trant; sisters, Helen Walker, Anne Hayes and Margaret Moss.
Surviving are her daughters, Beth (David) Grella of Tully and Amy Kwasigroch of Syracuse; grandchildren, Karen and Paul (Marjorie) Grella of Tully; great-granddaughter, Sofie Grace Grella; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, April 19 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 20 at noon in Holy Family Church, Syracuse. Jane will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
