Jane (Griffin) Sherwood

Jane (Griffin) Sherwood, 82, of Camillus, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at home. Born in Syracuse, she was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area. Jane retired from Emerald Electric Contractors, Inc. and previously worked for Taylor Electric Co. She was a member of Camillus Baptist Church. Jane enjoyed golfing, gardening, traveling by motor home and spending winters with her friends in Juno Beach, FL. She was known for her selflessness, always helping those in need.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Edith Griffin; and grandson, Jacob Sherwood Grome.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Leonard; son, Scott of Park City, UT; daughters, Kristin (Phillip) Grome of Camillus, Sherri (James) Diamond and Stacey Messina, both of Syracuse; brother, Thomas (Barbara) Griffin of Greene; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one niece; several cousins; and her dog, Baxter.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital oncology unit 3-2 for their extraordinary care.

Services will be private. Jane will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
