Jamie Nicole Ripple, 40, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Friday at home, with her family by her side. Born in Rome, NY, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and a 2001 graduate of West Genesee High School. Jamie furthered her education by obtaining an associate degree from SUNY OCC, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from SUNY Oswego. Subsequently, she attained the status of a registered nurse upon completing her education at the Crouse Hospital College of Nursing. Jamie was pursuing a Film and Music Production degree through Los Angeles Community College. She dedicated herself to various roles throughout her career, leaving an indelible mark wherever she went. As the proprietor of The Cary Shoppe and Calabash Scrub Co., Jamie brought her entrepreneurial spirit to life, crafting success through dedication and passion. In the medical field, she served as a registered nurse at Oswego Hospital and Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis, providing care and compassion to those in need. Additionally, Jamie contributed her talents as a supervisor and bartender at Kirby's Grill for over 14 years, leaving a lasting impression on patrons and colleagues alike. Her diverse work history reflects her tireless work ethic and her ability to excel in any role she undertook.
Jamie had a deep connection to the earth and nature, following her own formula of spiritual and meditation practices. She filled her life foremost with her family, whom she treasured, especially her nieces and nephew. Jamie cherished her family's holidays and traditions, bringing joy and laughter, which gifted them lifelong memories. She loved music, songwriting, singing, creating art and pottery, traveling, antiquing, and camping. As a nurse and an entrepreneur, she infused her holistic approach to life and health into her craft.
Jamie was predeceased by her grandparents, Sharon Johnston, George and Janette Ripple, and Danny Capucilli Sr.
Surviving are her parents, Janine (Danny Jr.) Capucilli of Camillus and John (Michele) Ripple of Dumfries, VA; brothers, Danny (Victoria) Capucilli III of Camillus and Hayden Ripple of Dumfries, VA; sisters, Alex (Zach) Parrish of Knoxville, TN, and Joanna Ripple of Mannsville; grandfather, Albert Johnston of Mannsville; grandmother, Theresa Capucilli of Geddes; nieces, Alexis and Avery; nephew, Jaxon; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
To celebrate Jamie’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home.
Jamie will be laid to rest in Boylston-Sandy Creek Wesleyan Cemetery, Lacona, NY, in a private burial.
