James W. Kenny

James W. “Poppy” Kenny, 82, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Peoria, IL, he moved to Camillus in 1994. Jim retired in 1993 after 38 years with AT&T. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Margaret; and brother, Lawrence.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Dianne Mersfelder; son, John (Betsy) Kenny of Berkeley, CA; daughter, Maureen (Thomas) LaVoy, of Marcellus; daughter, Kathleen (Roy) Gratien of Camillus and Susan (Kevin) Tate of Morganville, NJ; sister, Judith (Edward) Ihnot of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Helen Kenny of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Ashley, Rebecah, Ryan, Holly, Eric, James, Liam, Shannon and Lily; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

Services will be private. Jim will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
