James Starowicz, 76, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away peacefully on February 3. Born in Syracuse, he later moved to North Carolina, where he made his home. A proud veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, dedicating himself to his country with honor and courage.
A lifelong carpenter, James applied his skill and craftsmanship throughout his career, working for various employers. Beyond his profession, he was a passionate advocate for veterans, always striving to support and uplift those who served.
James was predeceased by his parents, Francis J. and Stella Starowicz; and brothers, Michael and Stephen Starowicz.
Surviving are his siblings, Emily (Richard) Muench of Ft. Myers, FL, Mary Starowicz, Anne Starowicz, and F. John (Martha) Starowicz, all of Syracuse, and Peter (Margaret) Starowicz of Leesburg, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There will be no services.
