James "Jim" Maloney

August 27, 1942 — January 15, 2017

James "Jim" Maloney, 74, of Camillus, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017 at home. Born and raised in Troy, he moved to Syracuse in 1980.

Jim graduated from Sienna College in Loudonville and was employed in the insurance industry for over 35 years. An avid golfer, he was a member for over 20 years with Tuscarora Country Club and also a member of Orchard Vali Golf Club.

A good husband, great father and grandfather, Jim loved spending time with his family.

Jim was predeceased by his brother, Thomas E. Maloney; and parents, James and Rita.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, the former Barbara Keane; daughter, Heather Maloney of Syracuse; son, Ryan (Melissa Patell) of Westvale; brothers, John F. (Roz) of Albany, Robert F. of Amsterdam and Joseph T. (Judith) of Marietta, GA; and grandson, Harrison James Maloney.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, January 21 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at noon at the funeral home with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
