James Freddie Wright, 91, of 2461 W. Brickyard Rd., Warners, died Sunday, January 7, 2007 at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Syracuse on Friday, August 20, 1915, he was the son of James Pulcifer Wright and Blanche Ferguson Wright. A lifetime resident of Warners, he was employed by Syracuse China Corp. for 44 years, retiring in 1979. Freddie was a communicant and oldest parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Warners. He was also a former coach for Kiwanis Little League for 11 years and commissioner of Warners Fire Dept. for 18 years. Interests of Freddie's included sports, especially baseball, and his dog Pepper. He enjoyed his garden, particularly his tomato plants, which he would share with family and friends. It was also special for Freddie to spend time with his good friend, Father Kilpatrick. Freddie's wife of 49 years, Arlene M. Wright, died June 24, 1995. Surviving are his daughter, Carolyn Wright of Pennsylvania.; son, Frederick J. Wright of Warners; sister, Dorothy Hanley of Ark.; brother, Clayton Wright of Tennesee; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Vincent Kilpatrick officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, January 10, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
