James "Jim" Lozott, 84, of Camillus, passed away Saturday at Crouse Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse and Camillus areas. Jim was employed by Roadway Express for 25 years before retiring in 1992 and was a delivery driver for Sam Rao Florist for many years after retirement. Jim was a member of the Teamsters Local 317, Elbridge Rod & Gun Club, NRA, and Grenville County Historical Society in Prescott, Ontario, Canada. He was also a treasured member of the Thursday Morning Teamsters Retiree Breakfast Club.
Jim was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Moore) in 2012; daughters, Carol Linda Lozott in 2000, and Suzette Marie (Kurtz) Lozott in 2019; son, Thomas James Lozott in 2022; and parents, Dorothy and Herbert Lozott.
Surviving are his son, Michael Charles (Barbara) of Baldwinsville; granddaughters, Nicole Marie (Zachary) Kittelson of Jamesville, and Sophia Rose Bufano of Camillus; grandson, Frank James Bufano of Camillus; great-granddaughters, Emma Patricia Bouck, Grace Elaine Kittelson, and Lily Carol Kittelson, all of Jamesville; cousin, Herb W. Lozott of Lake Park, FL; son-in-law, Roy Kurtz; and loving companion of five years, Marilyn Chamberlin of Mattydale.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
