James K. Brim, 83, of Fairmount, passed away Saturday at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born in Syracuse, he lived in Camillus for over 50 years and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. James retired in 1991 after 39 years with Carrier Corp. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church and a volunteer with ECHO Meals on Wheels. An avid golfer, SU and NY Yankee fan, he enjoyed gardening and working in his yard, but above all enjoyed spending time with his family.
James was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mildred Brim; and brother, Edward.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Helen Bush; sons, Scott (Shelley) of Jordan and Thomas of Baldwinsville; grandchildren, Chris (Kayley), Corey (Melissa), Casey (Kelly), Daniel, and Samantha; and great-granddaughters, Ellie, Grace and Olivia.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, February 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Saturday, February 25 at 11 a.m. in St. Michael's Lutheran Church.Private
burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
