Imogene Denny, 80, of Camillus, passed away Monday, November 20, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital with her family at her side. Born on Thursday, September 23, 1926 in Rockwood, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Jessie Davis and Myrtle Hensley. After living her earlier years in Rockwood, she resided in Baltimore for 20 years until moving to Camillus in 1966. Jean was a former secretary at St. Camillus Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church and former president of the Top Hats Dance Club. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Jack; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Ruth Denny of Durham, North Carolina; daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Lee Davis of Baldwinsville and Cheryl and Edward Heffernan of Camillus; grandchildren, Norman and Timothy Davis, Rebecca Davis-Pevarnik, Matthew and Margaret Denny and Brendan Heffernan; 9 1/2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and godson, Donald Aaron Rash. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Craig French officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, November 21, 2006 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
