Ida Mae Idank, 77, of Camillus, passed away into the sunset on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, July 26, 1933, she was a lifetime resident of the Camillus area. She was also a graduate of Central High School, communicant of St. Joseph's Church and long-time member of Tuscarora Golf Club. Ida was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Anna Pillion Rogers; and brother, James Gilheney. Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Richard; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ed Carroll of Leesburg, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David and Catherine Idank of Jackson, New Jersey; grandchildren, Kylie and Lily Carroll and Katie and Patrick Idank; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Monday, July 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Ida will be laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
