Syracuse

Henry J. Trembley, 94, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Born and raised in Southbridge, Massachusetts, he moved to Syracuse in 1978.

A proud and dedicated veteran, Henry served in the United States Air Force for 21 years, bravely participating in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his military service, he continued his work in the field of aviation, taking on roles as an air traffic controller and weather observer with the FAA.

Henry was a communicant of Holy Family Church, where he found comfort and community in his faith. He was a man of quiet hobbies, enjoying reading, puzzles, and spending time playing games on the computer. However, it was his family that brought him the most joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He was predeceased by his parents, Oliver and Aldoria Tremblay.

Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Maria; son, Louis (Bunny) Trembley of Clarksville, TN; daughter, Michelle (Don Foster) Trembley of Canton, OH; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his loyal canine companion, Buddy.

In accordance with Henry's wishes, services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Henry’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
