Henry “Hank” Kent, 82, of Fairmount, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center surrounded by his loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and Le Moyne College.
Hank retired in 1999 after 40 years with Lamson Corp. and was a member of the professional organization, APICS. He coached Optimist baseball and loved the game of golf including managing a golf league at Westhill. He also enjoyed model trains and fishing but the love of his family and especially spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Hank was predeceased by all of his siblings.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Jean Lange; children, Paul Kent of NYC, Sue Maxwell-Barnes (Rich) of Buffalo and Patrick (Susie Hensler) Kent of Washington, DC; grandchildren, Patrick, Thomas, Robert, Zachary, Frankie, Margaret, and Christophe; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 6 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 7 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Henry will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
