Helen Micho, 98, of Marietta, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was an inspector with General Electric where she worked for 25 years, retiring in 1983. Helen was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She loved to cook and garden but above all, loved spending time with her family and friends. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Michael, in 1988; sister, Mary; and brothers, John, Andrew, Bill and George. Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Peter) Heyde of Marietta; sons, Michael (Diane) Micho of Solvay and Richard (Elizabeth) Micho of Marietta; grandchildren, Ashley, Carl, Kim, Kristine, Kara, Emily, Annie and Erich; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 26 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Helen will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Syracuse.
