Helen M. Swierczek, 89, of Camillus, passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born and raised in New York Mills, she moved to Camillus in 1962. Helen was a graduate of New York Mills High School. She retired after 17 years with Witherill's and worked for Westvale Golf Course during retirement. Helen was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and enjoyed cooking, cleaning and spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen H. Swierczek in 1997; sister, Frances Brykala; and brothers, Joseph, Stanley and Peter Woroszylo. Surviving are her daughter, Chris (John) Licamele of Camillus; son, Stephen (Pamella) Swierczek of Marcellus; grandchildren, Greg (Elizabeth) Licamele and Stephen, Suzanne and Bryan Swierczek; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Sienna Licamele. Per Helen's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Helen will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
