Helen Wilson Jones, 89, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing. Born and raised in Cortland, she was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Helen worked as a bookkeeper with Jones Garage for over 20 years. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a woman of great faith who loved reading her Bible. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Helen was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Robert Wilson; second husband, Charles; son, Robert Wilson; stepson, Charles Jones Jr.; grandchildren, Mellissa Devaney and Charles Jones.
Surviving are her daughters, Deanna (Cruz) Rodriguez, Arlene Baart, Cynthia (William) Devaney, and Jeannine (Douglas) Singer; sons, Thomas (Connie) Wilson and Donald Scanlon; stepchildren, Lucy Hawkins, Mary Jones, and William Jones; sisters, Sylvia (Richard) Flower and Deanna Grevelding; 23 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held.
Helen will be laid to rest in Howlett Hill Cemetery, Camillus.
