Helen “Bindi” Brady, 58, of Onondaga Hill, passed away Sunday March 11, 2012 at Loretto. Born in Buffalo on Monday, August 31, 1953, she lived in Syracuse since 1965. Bindi was a 1971 graduate of West Genesee High School and retired from National Grid in 2008 after 37 years. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was an avid reader and enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. Bindi was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Joseph Brady. Surviving are her daughters, Brooke Dowd of Onondaga and Erin (Craig Waterman) Dowd of Clay; sisters, Mary (Ronald Stuyvesant) Brady of Loda, Illinois and Anne (Paul) Hart of North Syracuse; brothers, Joseph (Karen) Brady of Newark, Delaware, David Brady of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Peter (Maryalice) Brady of Annapolis, Maryland and Thomas (Phyllis Cave) Brady of Albany; and grandsons, Liam and Samuel Waterman. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15 in Holy Family Church. Bindi will be laid to rest in North Syracuse Cemetery.
