Harvey Wolf, 87, of Camillus, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Elderwood Senior Care in Liverpool. He was born in Buffalo, attended Buffalo Technical High School and served in the NY National Guard. He achieved his Eagle Scout in 1948 and later served as a Scoutmaster at Holy Family School. Harvey came to Syracuse in 1953 and was employed in sales at Bausch & Lomb, the Glidden Company and Syracuse Glass. He retired in 1988 after 28 years with Ryder System Inc. as a district and regional manager and then served as president of OFK Wood in Clay for many years. Harvey was a member of St. Joseph's Church, enjoyed SU sports and was a volunteer for CatFISH in Camillus. He enjoyed antique cars, hunting, boating and fishing.
Harvey was predeceased by his beloved wife, "Winnie", in 2012 after 59 years of marriage.
Surviving are his daughter, Lynnda (Robert) Hoefler of Stow, OH; sons, Kenneth (Debbie Schneider) Wolf of Marcellus and Matthew Wolf of Syracuse; dear grandchildren, Savanna, Janessa and Alyssa; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, September 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Wednesday, September 20 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Harvey will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
