Harry Ritchie, 67, of Fairmount, died Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at home. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on Sunday, April 4, 1938, he was the son of Charles and Georgina Ritchie and lived in Fairmount for 28 years. Harry was a Marine Corps veteran. He was employed by Glidden Paint in Syracuse for 33 years, retiring in 2001 and was formerly employed for 10 years by Sherwin-Williams Co. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed grilling and spending time at his camp in Verona Beach. Surviving are his wife of 39 years, the former Jo Ann McCarthy; sons, Thomas of Warners and Dennis of Camillus; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Godin of Syracuse; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn & Ernie Pendergrass of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and brother, Arthur Ritchie, also of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; grandchildren, Jeff and Jack Ritchie, Nicole and Lisa Godin, all of Syracuse. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Sunday, December 11, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
