Harold N. Rice, 87, of Camillus, passed away Sunday. He was an Army veteran of Korea. He retired from General Electric in the military radar division. He was active at Holy Family Church as an usher and also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #4114. He was a member of VFW Post # 153 and the American Legion. Harold loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and cards. He taught his grandchildren to play to win. Harold was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, the former Lucille Angrick, in 2005; and brother, Nicholas. Surviving are his children, Joanne (Robert) Harvey of Merrimack, NH, Harold R. of Camillus, John M. of Merrimack, NH and Mary (Jim) Curry of Camillus; grandchildren, Ryan and Nathan Harvey, Nicholas Rice, and Stephanie and Scott Curry; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Connie Rice of No. Syracuse; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, November 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 25 in Holy Family Church. Harold will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
