Harold D. Harry Cericola, 56, of Solvay, died Monday, April 17, 2000 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born in Syracuse on Monday, January 3, 1944, he was the son of Peter and Edith Cericola. Harry was a lifetime resident of Solvay. He was also a 1962 graduate of Solvay High School and a 1964 graduate of Simmons Institute of Funeral Service. Harry retired in 1997 after 32 years as a clerk for Pennsylvania Truck Lines in Syracuse. He was a funeral director in Elmira and a loan officer for the Syracuse Police Credit Union, Conrail Division. He was a member of First Christian Assembly. He was involved for 25 years with Boy Scout Troop 72 and was also a member of the 32nd Degree Masons in Solvay, Tigris Shrine and Teamsters Local 317. Harry enjoyed traveling and camping. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Sharon Harrison; daughters, Paula Cericola of Altmar and Amy Cericola of Solvay; son, Hal of Solvay; sister, Mary Reynolds of Solvay; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Willa of Alexandria, Virginia; sister-in-law, Pat Cericola of Lakeland and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at the Buranich Funeral Home. Entombment was in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Friends called at the funeral home, 5431 West Genesee St., Camillus.
