H. Craig Nunneker, 90, of Geddes, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at home. Born in Cincinnati, OH, he lived in Syracuse and Pennsylvania before moving back to Syracuse in 1985. Craig graduated from Ilion High School in 1947 and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked for over 40 years as a meat cutter, retiring in 1987 after 27 years with Loblaws and belonged to the Local One Meat Cutter & Retail Clerks. Craig attended Immanuel United Methodist Church and was proud to be a volunteer member of the Erie Canal Park for over 30 years. He also found joy in riding his John Deere tractor, and he was able to take his final spin a few days before he passed. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He was so very proud of each and every one of them.
Craig was predeceased by his sister, Darlene Golder; and brother, Robert.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years, the former Dorothy Neave; daughter, Pam Nichols of Baldwinsville; son, Ken (Millie) of Syracuse; grandchildren, Karey, Casey, Jessie, Kim and Jenn; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
