Gregory Joseph Kole, 51, of Palm Springs, CA, passed away suddenly on Friday November 29, 2013 at home. He was a graduate of West Genesee High School and SUNY Fredonia where he earned a bachelor of science degree in communications. Greg's career began at CBS Video Fox Corp. in New York City where he excelled in computer technology. One of his finest accomplishments was to design and install a computer software system for the Omni Hotel in New York City. Greg later moved to Orlando, Florida and worked well over a decade as a high tech recruiter (headhunter) for such corporations as Ingersoll Rand, Lockheed and Northrop-Grumman. He then went on to form his own recruiting company. He later returned to college, earned a degree that prepared him to become a nuclear medicine technologist, and moved to Palm Springs, CA to work at Eisenhower Hospital where he was employed for the past seven years. Greg was loved by all and lived life to the fullest. Music was a great passion of his. He loved his friends dearly and enjoyed hiking and traveling. Greg was predeceased by his father, Edward Kole. Surviving are his loving mother, Shirley Kole of Syracuse; sister, Chris of Syracuse; brothers, Glenn (Maryann) Kole of Camillus and Gary Kole of Syracuse; a niece, nephews and several cousins. Special people in his life were Jessica, Gerry, Bruce, Blanche, Matt and Tim. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 7 in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
