Grace W. Campbell, 89, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Crouse Hospital. Born in Rochester on Thursday, June 13, 1918, she was the daughter of William Henry and Rose Emily Griffiths Scriver. A long-time member of Asbury First United Methodist Church in Rochester, Grace was active in all aspects of church life. Her love of travel took her first to the western U.S., camping with her husband, Ken, and their two daughters, and later to South America and Europe. Drawn to the culture and natural beauty of the American Southwest, she retired to Arizona after being employed by Xerox Corp. in Rochester from 1965 to 1983. Grace will be lovingly remembered by her family and many friends in New York and Arizona for her ready smile, quick wit and indomitable spirit. Grace is predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth W. Campbell; second husband, Arne E. Farbrot; and brothers, William H. and Richard G. Scriver. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia (Donald) Stanton of Fairport and Karen (Jack Miller) Campbell of Syracuse; sister-in-law, Martha Scriver of Camillus; niece, Christal (Steven) Wilk of Greece; grandchildren, David (Stephanie) Stanton of Mt. Prospect, Illinois and Karen (John) Cossaboon of Palmyra; and great-grandchildren, Emily Jo Stanton and Nicholas and Katherine Cossaboon. Calling hours will be Monday, June 25, 2007 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Calling hours and a memorial service will also take place in Rochester. Private interment will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford. Contributions may be made to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT.
