Gordon B. DiCaprio

Gordon B. DiCaprio, 79, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Iroquois Nursing Home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he spent winters in Naples, Florida. He was a 1957 graduate of Le Moyne College and served in the U.S. Air Force. Gordon retired from the East Syracuse-Minoa School District and Le Moyne College. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Syracuse. Surviving are his daughters, Lisa de Silva (David), Lori (Eric Lee) and Lucia Watson (Eric); son, Anthony; grandchildren, Alyssa Procopio, Christina and Victoria Lee, Madolyn and Jason DiCaprio; brothers, Anthony and Gerald; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8 in Holy Family Church, Syracuse. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Iroquois Nursing Home, 4600 Southwood Heights Dr., Jamesville, NY 13078.
