Gertrude B. Spilker

Gertrude B. Spilker, 85, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Gertrude was born in Bremen, Germany, where she met and married her husband. In the 1950s they moved to Brooklyn and lived several years in Virginia before settling in the CNY area. Gertrude was an animal lover and enjoyed having lunch with her friends, sewing and crocheting.
Gertrude was predeceased by her twin brother, Helmut Fischer.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Edward; daughters, Susan Spilker of Camillus and Claire (Frank) Pallo of Rochester; grandchildren, Renee Stephenson, Ian Hiscock, Ashley Dotter and Heather Magnani; great-grandchildren, Adam Hiscock, Azure Magnani and Benson Dotter; and nephew, Marco Fischer.
There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
