Geraldine A. McConnell

Geraldine Agnes Donohue Parker McConnell, 89, of Eastwood, passed away Monday, April 9 at Sunnyside Care Center. Born in Plattsburgh on Tuesday, August 8, 1922, she was the daughter of James Marcus Donohue and Helen Elizabeth Fultz Donohue. She resided in the Syracuse area most of her life. Geraldine was predeceased by her first husband, James Parker, in 1970; son, James Parker Jr. in 2011; and second husband, Jack McConnell in 1999. Surviving are her sisters, Mary Graves of Syracuse and Shirley L. Cole of Idaho; brother, William Donohue of Ohio; grandchildren, James Parker III and Deborah Parker; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, all of Florida. Many nieces and nephews survive Geraldine in the Syracuse area, especially Jody Keim, who lovingly attended to Geraldine’s needs in her last years. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
