George Bill Stoyan, 84, of Fairmount, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Community-General Hospital. He was born in Syracuse on Saturday, March 19, 1921, the son of Angelo and Anna Stoyan. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Vocational High School. Bill was employed by MCL Industries for 20 years. He was also formerly employed by A-1 Music. He was an Army veteran of World War II and communicant of Holy Family Church. Bill enjoyed fishing, especially for walleye. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Marjorie Frances Doyle, of Fairmount; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and George Petty of Fairmount; son and daughter-in-law, George and Susan Stoyan, Jr. of Liverpool; five grandchildren, five great-grandsons, four sisters and four nephews. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday, April 7, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
