George Patrick Lowery

George Patrick Lowery, 60, of Ithaca, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Born in Syracuse, he moved to Ithaca in 1996. George earned his bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego and was a writer for SU, Le Moyne College and Cornell University. He enjoyed reading and biking and loved his dogs, Iggy, Leggs and Luna.

George was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine.

Surviving are his sister, Suzanne (Bob) Pray of Camillus; brother, John (Irene) Lowery of Liverpool; nephews, Bradley (Katie) Pray of Baldwinsville and Major Adam (Shelly) Pray of Colorado Springs, CO; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, December 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in St. Agnes Cemetery, Syracuse.
