George “David” McAllister, 57, of Skaneateles, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Community General Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Sunday, September 2, 1951, he was the son of Thomas Frank McAllister and Amelia Wright McAllister. He lived in Camillus until moving to Skaneateles 25 years ago. David was an A-1 carpenter, working for various construction companies before retiring from Syracuse University. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked to cook, listen to music and work in his vegetable garden. David loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 35 years, the former Doreen Marie Lamoureaux; daughter, Erin Doreen McAllister of Skaneateles and her fiancé, Fritz Estlinbaum; son and daughter-in-law, Brian David and Sabrina Marie McAllister of Skaneateles; granddaughter, Piper Elizabeth McAllister; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Laurice McAllister of Chittenango; sister, Callie Ann Egnoto and his beloved dog, Sage. There will be no services. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be private.
