Genevieve M. Kwiek

Genevieve M. Kwiek, 90, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She attended Proctor High School. Genevieve worked in the food industry for over 40 years and was a chef at Brick House before retiring in 1998. She was a member of the Elizabeth Ministries and funeral luncheon team at Holy Family Church. She was also a Third Order Discalced Carmelite for many years. Genevieve will always be remembered for her legacy of helping others.

Genevieve was predeceased by her husband, William Sr., in 2005; one sister; and three brothers.

Surviving are her daughters, M. Laurie (James) Israels of Grand Rapids, MI and Ann (Tom) Kwiek-Lavere of Syracuse; sons, Bill Jr. (Cheryl) Kwiek of Baldwinsville, David (Lisa) Kwiek of Grand Rapids, MI and Richard (Lisa) Kwiek of Skaneateles; sister, Ann Wolak of Utica; grandchildren, Jennifer, James, Billy, Christina, Nick, Molly, Matt, Lexie, Jordan, Chelsey and Thomas; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and Patricia Wolak, who was like a daughter to Genevieve.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, December 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 17 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes.
