Gary S. Shick

Gary S. Shick, 51, of Syracuse, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at his home. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was born on Monday, December 13, 1954. He graduated from Henninger High School in 1973. Gary was a Marine Corps veteran and was employed by the NYS Department of Corrections in Auburn. He enjoyed hunting deer and was a member of the Otisco Lake Rod & Gun Club. Gary's mother, Leah Bainbridge Glahn Shick, died February 21, 2004. Surviving are his wife of 23 years, the former Susan K. Nash; sons, Gary A. Shick and Evan S. Shick both of Syracuse; daughter, Kiersten R. Shick of Syracuse; father, William H. Shick of Syracuse; sister, Nancy (Fred) Hall of Covington, TN; brothers, William R. Shick and Larry (Mary) Shick both of Syracuse and George Glahn of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Deacon Nick Alvaro officiating. Friends may call preceding the service from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
