Frederick M. Storms was born March 19, 1929, to Frederick U. and Ruth (Fogus) Storms in Syracuse and passed away after a long illness on Monday. Fred was a loving husband to his wife of 71 years, Dorothy (Gryziec), a wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Dorothy and Fred were married in the original Lady of Peace Church in Lakeland. They traveled to Panama where he served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. While residing there, their first son, Frederick S. was born. Employed as a circuit analyst at General Electric, Fred retired after 34 years. After retirement, he bought a motorcycle and enjoyed daily adventures on it. Fred was a regular blood donor and reached the 10-gallon level which has helped many lives. He was also a member of the Syracuse Rose Society and the Onondaga Hill Antiques Club with Dorothy.
Fred is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy; children, Freddy Storms, Cindy (Ed) Seiter, Maureen (Robert) Conner and Patrick Storms; grandchildren, Jennifer Seiter Moser, Louis and Nick Seiter, Stephanie and Matthew Conner and great-grandson, Calvin Moser.
Services will be private. Fred will be laid to rest at Belle Isle Cemetery, Camillus.
