Franklin W. Stephan, 94, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2019 at University Hospital. Born in Buffalo, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Frank was an Army veteran and proudly served in World War II in both the European and Pacific Theatres. He was employed with Black and Decker for over 40 years. Frank enjoyed camping, gardening, golfing and traveling. Above all, he cherished time spent with family.
Frank was predeceased by his sons, Robert and Richard (Diane).
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, the former Sylvia Waegerle; son and daughter, Ronald and Linda; grandchildren, Matthew and Emily (Jim Dalpe); great-grandson who he adored, Liam Robert; sister-in law and brother-in-law, Herb (Flo) Wahl; sister-in-law, Dee Sponholz; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, December 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
