Frank J. Lewek, 72, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at home. Born in Utica, he lived in the Syracuse area since1974. He was a 1961 graduate of Thomas R. Proctor High School and an Army veteran. Frank retired in 2002 after 20 years with Chrysler Corp. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. He loved golfing, fishing and spending time with his granddaughters. Frank will be remembered as a beloved father, husband, grandfather and friend who enjoyed life while bringing honor, inspiration and wisdom to those who knew and loved him. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Stella Lewek; and brother, Robert. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, the former Sandra Harrington of Camillus; daughter, Dana Penge of Liverpool; brother, Gerald Lewek of Utica; granddaughters, Marissa and Alexis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Friday, November 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 21 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Frank will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
