Frank J. Calley

Frank J. Calley, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. A graduate of Vocational High School, Frank was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. He was the previous owner of his family business, City Hardware. Frank enjoyed playing poker and was always willing to help those in need, but above all, loved spending time with his family.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne; and daughter Lisa, in 2003.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Carol; son, John (Dawn Rutledge) of Syracuse; and grandchildren, Gary (Lexi), Matthew, and Joshua (Kristen) Calley.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 23, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 6650 Beach Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY, 41 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
