Frank E. Butler, 69, formerly of Fairmount, passed away Sunday at Loretto Cunningham.
Born in Massena to the late Ethel and Elwood Butler, Frank graduated from SUNY Canton in 1973 before moving to Syracuse. He was employed for years by Sears at both the Camillus and Shoppingtown Malls in outside sales and in-house security. Frank was also the owner of Asset Protection Associates, a security and property management firm and worked in security at the Hotel Syracuse and GML parking. He was a 15-year volunteer with Fairmount Fire Department as well as an EMT with WAVES Ambulance Corp. Frank was also the friendly doorman at Poorhouse West, Boomers and Freddie’s.
Frank is survived by his good friends, Charles Dumas of Syracuse, Brad Mitchell of Fairmount, Monti Eustin of Seattle, WA and Mary Jo Belknap of Phoenix.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. Frank will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
