Frances (Zawadzki) Calley, 93, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at The Centers at St. Camillus. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was born on March 30, 1922. She and her husband, Frank, and their sons moved to Fairmount in 1961. Frances was formerly employed by the Army Reserves and the West Genesee School District. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society, as well as, the Holy Family Seniors. Frances volunteered for a number of years at Community General Hospital. She was a former member of the Catholic Golden Agers of Assumption Church and active with several square dancing clubs. She was an avid reader throughout her life. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Frank, on January 25, 2011. Frances will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard (Carole) of Mississauga, Canada, Ron of Hawthorne, CA, Mark (Pat) of Reading, MA and Michael of San Rafael, CA; grandchildren, Sienna (Ben), Melody and Ram; and great-grandchildren, Ramsey, Aidan and Ruby. Visitations will be held on Monday, April 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A private family interment at Assumption Cemetery will take place on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219 or to a charity of one's choice.
