Frances (Hunt) Schiedel

Frances (Hunt) Schiedel, 90, formerly of Camillus, devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully Monday, February 25, 2013 at the home of her daughter, Carol (Nabil) Issa. Born in Marcellus, Frances graduated from Vocational High School and went on to work as head cashier at Grant’s Department Store until marrying her late husband of 61 years, Charles Schiedel. Together they operated Schiedel Cleaners, North Syracuse, over 25 years. She then went on to dedicate 25 years to Syracuse’s local Planned Parenthood. Surviving are her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Ana of Spotsylvania, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Nabil Issa of Dunwoody, Georgia and Bonnie and James Nicotra of Port St. Lucie, Florida; four grandchildren (and spouses); two great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved friends.
