Frances E. Jenks

Frances E. Jenks, 92, of Fairmount, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Phoenix, New York on Thursday, July 15, 1920, she was the daughter of George McKinley and Carrie Tottingham McKinley. Frances lived in the Syracuse area most of her life and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Frances was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1981; and daughter, Jean Benz in 2004. Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Fleming of Fairmount; sons, David and Richard, both of Syracuse; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Monday, December 17 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Frances will be laid to rest in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
