Frances Comuntzis

Frances (Coffin) Comuntzis, 77, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Francis House. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Eastwood High School and Syracuse University. Frances was employed for over 10 years with ARC of Onondaga. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church. Fran spent many years volunteering at Francis House and was blessed to spend her final weeks in the loving hands of the Francis House staff and volunteers.  They were a source of tremendous strength to both Fran and her family. Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Coffin (John) Racciatti of Onondaga Hill and Tammy Coffin (Joseph) Hanley of Northern Virginia; son, Mark (Crystal) Comuntzis of Mexico; and her grandchildren: Tristram, Owen, John Raine, Sophia, Honor, Monroe, Keaton, Dominique, and Maxwell. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church.
