Florence (O’Neil) Daniluk, 86, formerly of Solvay and Memphis, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Tuesday, January 30, 1923, she was the daughter of William John O’Neil Sr. and Lucinda T. Munn O’Neil. She lived in Solvay for 26 years and Memphis for 45 years. Florence was a Navy WAVES veteran of World War II. She was a former communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Jordan and Our Lady of Good Counsel in Warners. She was a former treasurer and EMT with the Plainville Ambulance Corps for about 10 years. Florence was also a 40-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Plainville Fire Department, member and guard of the Ladies Auxiliary of Liverpool Elks Lodge #2348, “R” Club of St. Michael's Russian Orthodox Church, Crucible Retirees, Liverpool Elks Seniors, and Jack's Reef Boat Club. Her husband, Paul, passed away October 26, 2008. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on the 5th Floor of Van Duyn for their loving care and compassion. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Susan Daniluk of Memphis; daughter and son-in-law, Cathleen and William Clark of Memphis; grandchildren, Michael, Bethany and Patrick and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. John J. Chupeck officiating. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, February 24, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Florence will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
