Florence R. Anton, 81, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at Syracuse Home Health and Rehabilitation at McHarrie Place. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in Canton, PA, before moving to Syracuse in 2009. Florence graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Brooklyn and was employed with Meyer & Meyer in NYC for 44 years. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and playing games. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and beloved pets.
Florence was predeceased by her husband, Eugene; parents, Francis and Florence Rizzuto; and brother, Richard Rizzuto.
Surviving are her sister, Eleanor (Vito) Caraccio of Camillus; nieces and nephews, Vito (Kristen) Caraccio, Lisa (Lars Lindeqvist) Felix, Frank Caraccio, Michael (Beth) Caraccio, Brian (Melissa) Rizzuto and Joseph Rizzuto; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Florence’s family would like to thank the staff at Syracuse Home for the excellent care they gave her. She loved them as her second family.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Syracuse.
Florence will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
