Faye Panasci, 87, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at home. Born in Hazelton, PA, she grew up in Lansford, PA before settling in Syracuse over 60 years ago. Faye met her husband, Henry, on a blind date and they got married six months later. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and her family was her pride and joy. An avid reader, she also enjoyed traveling with Henry. She was the namesake of Fay's Drug Stores. She was a true, loyal friend and will be remembered forever by those who loved her.
Faye was predeceased by her husband, Henry, in 2005; and siblings, Jane, Ann, Edwin and Jack.
Surviving are her daughter, Beth (Ira) Leventhal of Chappaqua; son, David (Jan) Panasci of Jamesville; grandsons, Michael, Dan and Jon Leventhal; sister-in-law, Arlene Rainone of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Marie Barry.
A small celebration of Faye’s life will be held for close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Faye Panasci Children's Fund at Vera House, 723 James St., Syracuse, NY 13203.
