Evelyn G. O'Keefe, 90, of Jamesville, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011 at Loretto. Born in Brooklyn on Thursday, January 27, 1921, she was the daughter of James Henry Curry and Mary Elizabeth White Curry. She spent her early years in Brooklyn where she was a graduate of Bishop McDonnell High School. She lived in Kendall Park, New Jersey from 1977 until moving to Syracuse in 2004. Evelyn was a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her beloved husband of 69 years, Daniel William O'Keefe of Jamesville; son and daughter-in-law, Major Daniel W. and Chris O'Keefe of Centreville, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Donna M. and Carmen Zeolla of Camillus; sister, Dolores Raftice of Farmingville; grandson, Carmen F. (Heather) Zeolla Jr. of Baldwinsville; granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer O'Keefe of Falls Church, Virginia and Adrienne Nicholson of Centreville, Virginia; great-granddaughters, Catherine, Mackenzie, Teresa and Stephanie; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 15 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
