Eugenia Yakobchuk, 82, of Camillus, passed away Monday. Born in Ternopil, Ukraine, she moved to the Syracuse area in December of 1990. Eugenia was employed with Arcom Labs for 10 years before retiring in 2000. She loved God and was a member of First Ukranian Pentecostal Church. Eugenia enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Eugenia was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Peter; sister, Olga; and brother, Slavik.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Vasil; daughters, Lesya (Vladimir) Pototsky and Galina (Rostislav) Sidorchuk, both of Camillus; brother, Michael Dorosh; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Thursday, December 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. in First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, 3875 Warners Rd., Syracuse.
First service will follow at 7 p.m. Second service will be Friday, December 11 at 10 a.m. Eugenia will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
