Ella "Peg" M. St. Denis

Ella Peg” M. St. Denis, 96, of Fairmount, passed away Friday. She was born on January 28, 1924. Peg was raised in Syracuse and lived in Buffalo before moving to Fairmount in 1972. Peg was a graduate of St. Lucy's High School. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a proud Marine wife.

Peg was predeceased by her husband, Albert "Bud"; and son, John.

Surviving are her daughter, Susan (Scott) Lawrence of Bainbridge Island, WA; sons, Larry (Diane) of San Jose, CA and Andy (Patty) of Baldwinsville; sister, Mary Lou (Bob) Hutchinson of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Meaghan (Matt Wagoner), Sean, Kelly (Mike Sparrer) and Brian (Sara) St. Denis and Christian Lawrence; sisters-in-law, Carol Ann Zenghi of Canandaigua and Barbara McEntegart of Hueytown, AL; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, December 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday December 23 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Ella will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity that benefits animals or veterans.
