Ella Bidgie Tambroni, 85, of the village of Camillus, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at home with her family. Born on Saturday, January 15, 1921, she was the daughter of Domenick Romano Simonelli and Carmen Inizzi. A lifetime resident of Camillus, she was a graduate of Camillus High School. Bidgie was a bus driver for the West Genesee Central School District for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph's Church and member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Bidgie enjoyed her camp at Sandy Pond for more than 50 years. She was a former avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. She also loved her children and grandchildren. Bidgie was predeceased by her husband, Dominick J. Mike Tambroni (1986) and sisters, Mary Buonvecchio and Connie Mazur. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ed Norcross of Camillus; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Pat Tambroni of Camillus; sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa and Joe Losito of Floral City, Florida and Anne and Dick Speach of Constantia; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Betty Simonelli of Camillus; grandchildren, Michael (Heidi) Tambroni, Daniel Tambroni and Jeffrey (Michelle) Tambroni, Christopher, Jesse and Kelly Norcross; six great-grandchildren and close friends, Barb and Tony Catania of Syracuse. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Skaneateles.
